Darling decay

Story in the Mail today led me to look up this artist.

Amazing range of images Heikki Leis has created of decaying food. They are utterly stunning, so like miniature worlds and landscapes and so sculptural – so lending themselves to textiles and felt. I think these are beautiful – but judging how much he said taking these photos stank, not sure I will be doing this myself anytime soon!

They reminded me of the Joan Richardson sculpture of honey dripping through felt that Heather Belcher showed as part of her lecture at the IFA.
