Buachaille Etive Mor by Michael Macgregor

Today I found this postcard while I was cleaning out my office. I LOVE the colours in this and have a NEED to replicate it in a square form. I am really enjoying the process of the squares. I’m going to try it in felt today rather than silk. I’m also hoping that trying to do this same size that I’m able to extract (or abstract) out the colours as I want. Will try this with strict sides. Maybe another could be done with wobbly lines further down the line.
I also ordered some more silk today. And will try one of Monets waterlilies at the weekend as I had wanted to. Inspired by Angela’s lecture today and discovering that homages are not cheating or copying but are ways to investigate and enrich your own work.
