IFA – things around the site of interest

Melanie Hill’s workshop set us lots of small, fast projects.

One of which was to wander around the site and find inspiration from the environment. I captured those things I found interesting on my camera. Mostly a gnarled tree trunk and some tulips.I loved the texture of the eroded bark and the degradation of it. I also loved the detail, form and structure of the insides of the tulips – as well as the jewel colours in the sunshine.

Thought I would post them as a reminder for later. Some of the photos of the trunk have SUCH a similarity to a finished felted surface with a crimp in it.

Kingswood School in Bath was our venue for this conference and it was a very inspiring setting.

Here are my subjects of interest.
