In today’s Mail there is a story about artificial muscle and a shapeshifting octopus.

I am most impressed by the octopus. Peril and camouflage seem to go hand in hand in nature. A really interesting twist…

The story also includes a video of artificial muscle. I find this fascinating – from its starkness and animative qualities. And the fact that this could easily be seen as a piece of art. Is Damien Hirst actually pushing an influence? I think not. I think I would have seen it this way before I saw his exhibition….
