Saw this story on both the BBC and Mail Online today – the BBC has a video about it – some fantastic historical photos of Britain from the air. Of course this are mostly taken in the first half of the 20thC, but are so interesting to see how much things have changed. Love the picture of the campsite – so regimented and organised – that would never happen anymore! Everyone clambers for the best spot and encroaches on each other’s personal space with no consideration… mmmm – I feel a rant coming on!
