I have purchased the book in the Stylist article and added it to my reading list.
I wonder if any papers have been written on the meditative benefits of certain crafts? Weavers, knitters and needle felters all cite the meditative qualities of the repetitive movements these crafts require. Many crafts are used as art therapy for mental illnesses – why? Is it because of the movement, the creativity or the achievement of making. An area of further investigation in the future
