I’ve been thinking about forms for my flat colours from my colour diary. These ice bubbles fascinate me, because they give that impression of rising up through something difficult.

The shapes and layering reminds me of the fluctuation in moods – where some days your mood has no impact and other days it is all-encompassing.

I would love to make some structures with these shapes painted with the colours from my palettes as an installation.

In some respects these bubbling images remind me of Kandinsky’s The Universe Resounds.
