While we we’re looking around the boutiques (only shopping in the cheap ones, I’m a student again now you know!) we wandered into Alexander McQueen to have a poke about.
Found this really interesting dress for sale. It was a citrus lemon/lime colour satin shift dress with an overlay or net that was heavily machine emboidered with a geometric pattern/image.
This made the net (the tutu variety) appear transparent and I thought it was a really interesting layer idea. Obviously the background layers get dulled as the layers build up. I thought this might be a really good way to make a ‘drawn’ landscape. Might try this
